Opera Wroclaw invites for a great spectacle – once again with financial support of ZETKAMA. In July at Hala Stulecia in Wrocław spectators will see “Macbeth” of Giuseppe Verdi.
Over 300 actors – including choir and ballet – will appear on the stage. As Macbeth perform great soloists from Metropolitan Opera: Lucio Gallo and Vladimir Chmelo. The Opera will held with music conduct of Ewa Michnik, with stage design of Paweł Dobrzycki, choreography of Bożena Klimczak and costumes of Małgorzata Słoniowska. The Director of the spectacle is eminent theater artist from Germany Bruno Berger-Gorski.
The world premiere of “Macbeth” took place 14 March 1847 in Florence. The composition was rewritten and the last version, which will be showed in July, had its premiere 19 April 1865 in Paris. Libretto from “Macbeth” was written by Francesco Maria Plave, long-term cooperator of Verdi.
The Performances will take place 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 of July.
